Women’s College World Series finals schedule, TV channels, scores for 2025 NCAA softball championship
The matchup is officially locked in. Texas and Texas Tech will be reigniting a cross-state rivalry in the Women’s College World Series finals this week.
While it wasn’t the expected outcome, both programs have earned their spot in this series.
No. 6 Texas has made it through the bracket flawlessly, knocking off Florida, Oklahoma and Tennessee on the way. A dominant pitching performance from the Longhorns allowed them to shutout Karlyn Pickens and the Volunteers 2-0 on Monday. Texas now advances to the final for the second year in a row.
No. 12 Texas Tech has been stunning teams left and right. The Red Raiders downed Ole Miss, UCLA and most recently, four-time defending champion Oklahoma. Thanks to a walk-off sacrifice fly from Lauren Allred in the bottom of the seventh, Tech was able to send home the No. 2 seed and continue on to the program’s first WCWS final.
Neither team has won a softball national title. Who will make history this time?
